Week 12

Today in class we reviewed chapter 16, the main economic ideologies and trends in today's society. We then moved on to chapter 17 which is on political ideologies. Chapter 17 we will be looking at the comparison of captialism and socialism within captialism we will be looking and comparing these four components, economic productivity, economic quality, overall well being, and personal freedom. The economic productivity from socialism to capitalsim is 3 to 1. Economic equality capitalism has a higher standard of living and shows more income disparity. Overall well being capitalism seems to have the higher advantage as the standard of living is more. Personal freedom in capitalism is based upon self intrest where in socialism equality it the goal.
