Week 2
Today in class we went over the four sociological perspectives. One: seeing the general from the particular, two: seeing the strange from the familiar, three: seeing personal life choice from social contexts, and four: seeing the crisis and the marginality. When discussing the four sociological perspectives the similarity of a fish bowl was very accurate. A fish doesn’t realize it water is needed for it to live, it has no idea how water affects it until removed from the water. We have no idea how society impacts us as individuals, we have no idea how it affects us until we remove ourselves from society. For next class period we need to add our own examples of the four sociological perspectives to the worksheet and complete the first ten questions on the lesson 1-2 quiz. WC:134
