Week 2

Today in class we corrected the three questions that were due. “What is sociology? What are the origins of sociology? What are the 4 major sociological perspectives? Almost the entre hour was spent discussing these questions. The majority of the class had the same answers for the questions. Crystal talked about the three eyes of sociology and stated that structure is built with a reason, if a function is not good then there is no reason for the structure. Another important point that Crystal brought up was that social builders can screw up, some consequenses you can not see right away which is equivalent to latent function which is pure sociological wisdom. Leaving class today with lots of insight and food for thought. Our assignment for tomorrow is to complete the rest of the worksheet.WC:136
